Plain Canvas Bags in Bihar: Delivery, Uses and Bulk Orders

Bihar is home to Madhubani painting, one of India’s best-known folk art forms, and to a growing number of art students and home businesses in Patna and Mithila. Plain canvas bags and pouches are an affordable way to practise and sell this art.

We ship from Ahmedabad to every district in Bihar, free on prepaid orders.

How people in Bihar use plain canvas

• Madhubani artists and self-help groups: painted totes and pouches sell well at fairs and online. See our Madhubani, Warli and mandala guide.
• Sujani embroidery: the running-stitch quilting of Bhusura works on 10 oz canvas.
• Weddings: potli bags as return gifts.
• Coaching institutes and schools: pencil pouches and drawstring bags.
