Local crafts to try on blank canvas

Goa’s Indo-Portuguese heritage and coastal life give canvas painters a distinctive palette.

Beach and coconut-palm motifs	Sling bags, mobile pouches
Kunbi-check patterns (painted)	Pencil pouches, totes
Old Goa church and Latin Quarter line art	Totes, potli bags

For art students, teachers and workshop hosts

The Goa College of Art in Panaji trains many of the state’s artists, and December’s Serendipity Arts Festival draws artists and makers from across India. Boutiques and café owners use our blanks for small runs of hand-painted, locally themed bags; see blank canvas bags for resale.
