Plain Canvas Bags in Kerala: Delivery, Uses and Bulk Orders

Kerala has a strong habit of carrying cloth bags, from market trips to temple visits, and an active art scene in Kochi and beyond. Plain canvas bags fit both: they replace plastic, and they are a ready surface for mural-style painting and embroidery.

We ship from Ahmedabad to every district in Kerala, free on prepaid orders.

How people in Kerala use plain canvas

• Onam and Vishu gifts: paint a kasavu-style gold border on a beige tote.
• Kerala mural art: the classic ochre, green and red palette works beautifully on canvas.
• Art schools and college clubs: painting and embroidery practice on cheap blanks.
• Wedding return gifts: potli bags filled with banana chips or sweets.
• Grocery and market bags: 10 oz totes carry vegetables and fish wrappers without tearing.

Festivals and seasons to plan for

Festival	Usual month	Canvas idea
Vishu	April	Kani konna (golden shower flower) totes
Onam	August–September	Pookalam-pattern totes and potli gifts with sadya sweets
Navratri and Vidyarambham	September–October	Pencil pouches for children starting lessons
Christmas	December	Star and crib motifs on totes and drawstring bags
Kochi art season	December–March	Art-market totes and sketch pouches

Order 3–4 weeks before a festival, especially Onam, when couriers are busy.

Products that suit the climate

Kerala’s humidity can make fabric damp. Choose natural beige canvas for daily use, dry painted bags fully before storing, and keep them in a dry cupboard.
